What first aid provisions should I have in place?

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require that in order to provide first aid to their employees who are injured or become ill at work, employers must have adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel.
What is adequate and appropriate will depend upon the circumstances in your workplace, and you should assess what your first aid requirements are.
The HSE have produced guidance as to the suggested numbers of first aid personnel required:
